With more than 15 years’ experience as a public policy advocate and advisor, Sarah is a regular spokesperson to media and advisor to policymakers on climate mitigation policy. As Director of Sustainability with the Cement Association of Canada, Sarah works collaboratively with government, industry, environmental and other civil society groups to enhance the cement industry’s contribution to sustainability, with emphasis on procurement, life-cycle approaches, and policies to support industrial decarbonization. Before joining CAC, Sarah served as Policy Director for Clean Energy Canada, a climate and energy think-thank based out of Simon Fraser University, as well as several senior positions within the Government of Ontario. Sarah serves on several advisory boards and committees and was the recipient of the 2018 Clean 50 Emerging Leader Award, in recognition for her leadership in clean capitalism.
